EMERGENCY

Emergency was a short lived Belfast combo, formed around April 1978 after the temporary demise of two Belfast bands, namely Victim and the Androids. Wes Graham (bass) and Jeff Beattie (drums) both ex Victim joined Joe “Zero” Moody (guitar and vocals) and Andrew “Aza” Middleton (guitar). The band rehearsed new material at the popular Lombard street premises used by many of the fledging Belfast punk bands at the time. Gigs eventually ensued in Belfast at such places as the Harp Bar and they even ventured to Manchester to play the now legendary Factory venue, supporting The Fall. However, on their return Aza left the band and a replacement was swiftly found and the band reverted back to using the name Victim.
