PLASTICS

The Plastics were something of an oddity on a number of levels. Firstly they had more than one female in their line up which was a first in the N. Ireland context back then; namely Tara Winters (R.I.P) on bass and Tar’s sister Lee De on vocals and Rosie Crone on drums. The line up was completed by Andy White on guitar.

Prior to even completing their line up, let alone playing an actual gig the “band” received a full page write up in Dublin’s heat magazine in September 1977 (a sign of the times). In this article it was reported that they even had song titles at this early stage such as “Feet Of Clay” “(No Thrills) Ballad of Angela Rippon”.
