Midnite Cruiser were a short lived band who released one single in November 1977. The band were Paul West vocals, Crow guitar, Peege (Paul Grant) guitar, Rodney guitar, Jimmy bass and Ger on drums. This was essentially the band Speed with addition guitarist Rodney and a name change. Their single was recorded for Cliff Moore’s IT Records and was recorded at Hydepark Studios in Templepatrick. The engineer on the single, George Doherty would form his own Rip Off Records the following year and manage Pretty Boy Floyd & The Gems. The single features the tracks Striker and Rich Bitch.
In early 1978, the band held a Thursday night residency at The White Swan in Tandragee.The band split later in 78 with Paul West (real name Paul Maxwell) going on to join The Tearjerkers.
